At Crossroads Animal Hospital, we typically recommend that dogs receive a full grooming session every 4-6 weeks. Regular grooming helps prevent painful matting of the coat, ear and/or skin infections, and parasite infestations.

Between full grooming sessions, it's important to regularly bathe your dog to keep them feeling clean, fresh, and healthy. Additionally, your dog's nails should be trimmed at least every 4 weeks to reduce the risk of nail-related injuries.

We offer a wide range of grooming services for dogs. Our professional groomer takes notes on each pet she sees and provides personalized service to ensure that you receive exactly what you want. We work hard to make sure that your pet's grooming experience is comfortable, low stress, and tailored to their individual needs.

A full service groom includes a bath and blow dry, eye and ear cleaning, nail clipping, brush out, and if needed a specific hair cut based on your dog’s breed standard and your choice of style.

1. Our boarding facility is located in our award-winning, accredited veterinary hospital, held to over 900 standards of care by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

2. Our boarding facility includes separate facilities for dogs and cats in a climate-controlled building.

3. Our larger than normal dog runs have solid stainless steel side panels for privacy, raised Kuranda dog beds, windows for natural light, and a sound system that plays relaxing music. For additional privacy or space, we also offer condos. These are enclosed bedrooms that are double the size of a run, come with a comfy toddler bed, flat screen TV with Netflix, and a large window for extra natural light.

4. Our canine pet guests get to play in our outdoor play area four times daily unless you request other arrangements. Our outdoor play areas have 6' fencing enclosures, and pets are supervised the entire time they are outside.

5. We have highly trained and skilled staff, including veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians, on-call 24/7 to handle any emergencies that may arise with your pet. We also have skilled Animal Caretakers who cater to your pet's needs.

6. We are happy to administer medication and provide any nursing care your pet might need while staying with us. Be sure to let our Animal Caretakers know at check-in.

7. We play relaxing meditative music at a low volume to help pets stay calm. All team members are trained to provide care that reduces fear and anxiety in pets.

8. All pets must be vaccinated, and we require documentation that a licensed veterinarian has administered vaccines at least 14 days prior to admission. We also require that all pets be current on monthly flea control and provide proof of an annual negative fecal test.

9. Our facility has an advanced fire warning system, and we have installed smart, hard-wired fire detectors that let emergency personnel know where the fire/smoke is located in the building.

Unlike typical boarding facilities, we ensure that pets with short-term or chronic illnesses have a safe place to spend their vacations. By contacting us in advance to discuss your pet’s needs for medical boarding, we can create an individualized plan for your pet’s stay.
